Master keys, access control and lockouts - scheduled around your business hours.

Commercial Locksmith Work in Mableton and West Atlanta

A business lock isn’t a house lock with a company name on it. It gets used two hundred times a day instead of four, it has to satisfy a fire inspector, and when it fails you’re not inconvenienced — you’re closed.

N&G Locksmith handles the commercial side across Mableton, Austell, Smyrna, Vinings and the west side of Atlanta. Offices, retail, restaurants, warehouses, medical suites, churches and rental property. We work on ANSI Grade 1 and Grade 2 hardware, storefront mortise locks, panic bars, closers, keypads and master key systems — and we schedule around your hours so the work doesn’t happen while your customers are watching.

Locked out right now with staff waiting outside? That’s an emergency locksmith call and we answer 24/7. Everything below is the planned work — the stuff that stops the emergency from happening again.

What We Handle for Businesses

Tell us the door type and roughly how many openings, and we’ll quote it over the phone or come out and walk the building with you — whichever you prefer.

Master Key Systems

One key for you, one door for each employee. We design the hierarchy, cut the keys and document it so you can add a door in two years without starting over.

Office and Storefront Lockouts

Staff outside and nobody with a key? We open aluminum storefront doors, mortise locks and back-of-house doors without wrecking the frame.

Access Control and Keypads

Codes instead of keys. Standalone keypad locks, code changes when someone leaves, and battery and reader faults on systems you already have.

High-Security and Restricted Keys

Restricted keyways can’t be copied at a hardware store. If keys keep multiplying without your say-so, this is the fix.

Panic Bars and Door Closers

Exit devices that stick and closers that slam are a code problem and a liability. We adjust, repair and replace them.

Rekeys After Staff Changes

A manager leaves and their key is unaccounted for. Rekeying the cylinders kills that key the same day, for a fraction of new hardware.

A CLOSED DOOR IS A CLOSED REGISTER

Work Like This Belongs Before Opening, Not During

Nobody wants a locksmith drilling at the front door while customers try to walk past him. So we don’t do that. Rekeys, master key installs, closer adjustments and hardware swaps get scheduled before you open, after you close, or on your slow day — and we tell you honestly how long the door will be out of service before you agree to anything.

Property managers and multi-site owners: ask about a standing rate rather than a per-call quote.

How a Commercial Job Runs

We walk the doors with you and count the openings

You get a written quote, itemized by door

We book the work around your trading hours

You get the keys, the chart, and a record of who holds what

Master Key Systems, Without the Jargon

A master key system means every door still has its own key, and one key on top opens all of them. Your bookkeeper opens the office. Your kitchen staff open the kitchen. You open everything with one key on your own ring, and nobody carries a jangling handful they’ll eventually lose.

The part people don’t expect is the paperwork. A system built properly comes with a chart — which key opens which door, how many were cut, and room left over for the doors you haven’t built yet. Without that chart, expanding the system in two years means starting from scratch, and that is the single most common reason we get called to redo somebody else’s work.

We build the chart, cut the keys, stamp them, and hand you the record. If you later want a door added or a key retired, it takes one phone call instead of a survey.

One caution worth stating plainly: a master system is a convenience and a small security trade-off at the same time. One key opening everything means one key going missing is a bigger problem than one key going missing today. That is exactly why we build them on restricted keyways where the budget allows, and why we keep the chart rather than leaving you to remember it.

Under about four doors, a master system usually isn’t worth the money — a set of matched keys does the same job. We’ll say that out loud rather than quoting you a system you don’t need. The same logic runs through our whole range of locksmith services.

Someone Quit and Their Key Is Missing. Now What?

This is the most common commercial call we get, and the answer is almost never “replace the locks.” Replacing hardware on six doors is expensive and unnecessary. Rekeying is changing the pins inside the cylinder you already own so the old key stops working — same lock, same door, new key, usually done in an afternoon.

Two things worth thinking about while you’re at it. If keys keep going missing, a restricted keyway stops the next set from being copied at a kiosk without your authorization. And if turnover is a regular part of your business, a keypad on the back door means the next departure is a code change, not a locksmith visit.

We’ll tell you which of those actually applies to you. If rekeying is enough, we’ll say so rather than selling you a system.

Landlords and property managers: the same reasoning applies between tenants. Rekeying at turnover is a small, predictable cost that protects you from the far larger one — a former tenant with a working key. If you also own the units, our residential lock work covers the apartment side of the same portfolio.

Why Businesses Around Here Keep Our Number

We Work Your Hours

Before you open, after you close, or on the slow day. The work doesn’t happen in front of your customers.

Commercial Hardware, Not Residential

Grade 1 and Grade 2 cylinders, mortise locks, exit devices and closers. Not big-box hardware with a warranty measured in months.

A Written Quote, Per Door

You see the number before anything is unscrewed, itemized by opening, so you can approve part of it and defer the rest.

The Same Locksmith Every Time

You aren’t re-explaining your building to a new subcontractor. We keep your key chart and we know your doors.

What Commercial Work Costs

Commercial pricing depends on the hardware far more than on the labor, so an honest page can give you the shape of it and confirm the number once we know what is actually on your doors.

  • Commercial rekey — from $25 per cylinder. Cheaper per door as the count goes up.
  • Office or storefront lockout — from $95. Non-destructive entry wherever the hardware allows.
  • Master key system — quoted per opening. Includes the chart, the keys and the stamping.
  • Panic bar and closer repair — quoted after we see it. Adjustment and replacement are very different numbers.
  • Keypad and access control — quoted per door. Standalone units, plus code changes on systems already installed.

Ongoing work for property managers and multi-site owners is better handled as a standing rate than as a stack of separate call-outs. Ask us and we’ll price it that way.

Businesses We Cover

We’re based in Mableton and cover commercial work across Mableton, Austell, Smyrna, Vinings, Powder Springs, Lithia Springs and the wider Atlanta metro. That includes the retail strips along Veterans Memorial Highway, the office and medical suites around Smyrna and Vinings, and the warehouse and light-industrial units out toward Austell and Lithia Springs.

Multi-site owners: if your locations sit inside that ring, one call covers all of them and one key chart covers your whole portfolio.

Not sure who you’re actually calling when you search for a commercial locksmith? Our guide on how to find a reliable locksmith covers the red flags — the ones that matter even more on a commercial job, where the invoice is bigger and the doors are harder to put right afterward.

Commercial Locksmith FAQ

Almost always, yes. Rekeying changes the pins inside the cylinder you already own, so the old keys stop working and you keep your hardware. It costs a fraction of replacement and it’s usually done the same day.

Every door keeps its own key, and one master key opens all of them. It’s worth it once you have more than about four doors or more than one level of staff access. Under that, a handful of matched keys is simpler and cheaper.

That’s how we prefer to do it. Before opening, after close, or on your quiet day. Tell us your trading hours when you call and we’ll book around them at no extra charge for a normal weekday evening.

Often it’s the closer or the alignment rather than the lock itself. Aluminum storefront doors shift with heat and use. We diagnose it on site and adjust before we start replacing parts, because an adjustment is far cheaper than new hardware.

Yes, with a restricted keyway. Those blanks aren’t sold to the public and can’t be cut at a hardware store or kiosk, so copies only happen with your written authorization.

We install and service standalone keypad and electronic locks, change codes, and troubleshoot battery and reader faults on units already on your doors. For a large networked system across many sites we’ll tell you if a specialist integrator is the better call.
